We closed (always be closing) on the house yesterday. I started packing up the miscellaneous items (books, clothes, etc.) around ye ol pleasure palace today. The plan is to move all that stuff in to the garage at the new house then move our furniture in next week.

Right now the new house is being painted. The former owners had the entire house, including ceilings, painted with high gloss paint. Very tacky would be an understatement.

I’m waiting for a phone call and an email to find out about some contractors for the bathroom remodeling job. Hurry up and wait there. As soon as the bathroom gets finished, I’ll be moving in. The roommate will be moving in next week sometime. I think I might live with my folks for the first week of June. Clew, I got a couple hundo in gift certificates for Lowery’s. Holla if you want to go and anyone else too, crabcakes & steaks on me.

In other news, Indiana Jones comes out tomorrow. I’ll write a review after I see it. There is what looks like a pretty good UFC this weekend. I think I’m going to catch this one at BWWs Saturday night. Affliction has put together a good looking MMA event in July.

My Dad just got Bob Zubrin’s book Energy Victory.  He makes a compelling case for biofuels. I still think the future of personal transport is in electric vehicles as soon as better battery technology becomes available. I’d rather be paying farmers than OPEC autocrats any day of the week though.
